Yeah...well, this is the music section, where you can find reviews of (you guessed it) music! Since I buy CD's on a regular basis, I'll probably be able to have a sizable amount of reviews - but my reviews will be limited to the music I own...unless somebody else wants me to post what they have to say.
I rate a CD on a scale of 1 to 5 - 5 being the highest, 1 being the lowest - so there shouldn't be any confusion. And you have to remember, these are just my opinions; it's likely you think differently about the CD in question, so just use my review as a basic guide. If I'm not too lazy at the time I write up a review, I'll probably cover all the basics of the CD, such as number of tracks, listening time, quality...ahh, just go and read the reviews. You'll see what I'm talking about.
Hmm, well, as for my preferences in music...I listen mostly to metal, alternative, and electronica. Don't care for pop, can't stand country, and oldies - er, can't really give my opinion on those without being vulgar. But there are exceptions. There might be one or two songs I actually enjoy out of those most hated catergories. But what I'm getting at is that you're basically gonna find CD reviews of the music I like, so if you don't like metal, alternative, or electronica, you're in the wrong place.
Money's always a problem for me...especially when buying music. That's why I like Napster so much, it lets you sample the music. I've bought more CDs since I got Napster than I ever did before, because I could listen to more than one song off the CD and know that I'm not getting a 10 song crapper, with only one or two of the total tracks that are actually listenable. Why can't the music industry understand this?! But saying that, I realize that one of the reasons Napster may be lowering the sales of music is because it allows people to have a better quality control of the music they buy, thus not purchasing crap they normally would and lowering music sales.
How about this, you bastards running the whole music industry - lower prices. I have to say, I feel a bit ripped off buying a $22 CD with only 10 tracks. If prices were lower, they'd sell more CDs, and I wouldn't feel as bad about buying a CD with only one or two good songs. Not that my opinion truly matters, but I'm sure other people feel the same way. Anyway, until the music industry understands, use Napster as much as possible...even if you have to get by the filters by mispelling song titles. The only reason I picked up Rammstein's Mutter was because I sampled some of the songs. 'Course, I had to spell Rammstein 'Ramsteen', and Mein Herz Brennt 'Mine Herzbrent', but still...I at least found that the CD wasn't half bad. Plus, it was on sale ($13.99 PLUS %20 off! Thank you, A&B Sound!), so there ya go...
